Nothing imaginative today by way of a photo; but I practised again with my newly acquired 30mm macro lens – a delight to use.  It focuses down to 1:1 but, unlike my extension tube, it doesn't have a maximum focus distance, so I can focus from infinity all the way down to 10cm (that's from the "film" plane, so about 1cm from the front of the lens).  It's great fun to use.

Horrible news from Ahmedabad:  an airliner crashing so quickly after takeoff means something  bad happened very suddenly.

I spoke to my aged mother on Facetime a few minutes ago: very alert and cheerful initially, but her cognitive powers seemed to deteriorate as we spoke, not helped by difficulty hearing.  She liked yesterday's Blip, but couldn't believe that it was a bird above two vehicles.
