Number147

Thursday

Hetty and I were out early so I could be in town by 10.30 to meet Carol and Sarah.

Sarah talked about finally giving up work. She's 68!

I was so lucky because the weather was warm and fine until I was settled with a drink.

I met Dot, who had a child 6 months before each of mine and we talked about Joey and Florence. Joey was killed in a head on collision in Avebury. He was driving home from work when a car over took the bus coming towards him. And that was it.

I told her I sometimes visit Joey's grave and think how I was so close to losing Florence. She said people see you and just assume you're ok and mostly, she isn't.

Clive picked me up so we could do the shopping together. A really dull job. We tend to do it once a fortnight. We eat everything we buy.

Back home and it was really warm.

Very sad news about the Indian plane crash.
