The Wyvern at Wrest Park

The Wyvern, a wing creature with a dragons head and lizard’s body was the emblem of the de-Grey family who owned Wrest Park a country estate in Bedfordshire for nearly 300 hundred years.

This wyvern was made from cast iron in 1825

In 2006 English Heritage opened Wrest Park country house and Wrest Park gardens both Grade I listed, one of the few places in the world where visitors can see the evolution of landscape gardening over the last 300 years.
