Broughty Ferry
We’re away for an overnight stay in Broughty Ferry. I can’t believe I’ve never been before and would like to come back with Bb. Good suggestion from busboy and a wee change from our usual choice of somewhere in The East Neuk. We arrived at lunchtime and had a lovely walk along the immaculately kept front and a coffee before checking into our hotel at 2pm (The Fishermen’s Tavern). Beautiful sunny day! More wandering in the afternoon and we’d easily clocked over 12,000 steps before we sat down for an early dinner (only 6.30pm available) in The Ship Inn, upstairs restaurant part, with a view looking over to Tayport. Excellent food and service. A shared starter of prawn tempura, then steak and ale pie, chips and veg for me and fish pie and veg for busboy. Both delicious and generous portions. Neither of us could finish! Nice fresh veggies too - peas, carrots, broccoli and green beans. Little bit of tv before bed. A good day!
We kept in touch with Bb during the day and I see from blip that his friends Cameron and Richard have arrived safely in Barcelona.
