On a butterfly's wing

The book talk/reading last night was so good. Astrid Vargas is a renowned wildlife conservation biologist. She is Spanish but came to Laramie to get her PhD. Many people at the reading hadn't seen her in years. She is vivacious and was a joy to listen to. I wasn't in Laramie at the right times to get to know her but she knows a lot of my friends. She dedicated her talk to my dear friend Steve who passes away recently.

She had never studied insects but got interested in butterflies when she learned the statistic in my main. The book is a mix of science. philosophy and art. All of the proceeds from the book goes to butterfly conservation. The extra is the cover. Here is a link to her site about the book. If you go to the site read her little bio. She's an amazing person.
