Diamondback
terrapin. We caught it in our crab pot today. No idea how it skinnied in there as we have the required turtle exclusion devices all in place. It was fine. After we let it collect its self for a few minutes and I got this shot with hubby's phone we released it. We had a nice catch and cooked crabs, corn on the cob and potato salad for dinner. I will pick the leftovers tomorrow and hubby will make more crab cakes for the freezer.
We planted the sunflowers today. It has been to wet all spring to get it done. After all the work and expense I sure hope they come up nicely. The gold finch, cardinals, and other feathered friends really love to feed it there. Squirrels feed on them as well and the hummers do when they are flowers only. We enjoy watching all the goings on in the fall. All win! Hope it will grow even though it is a bit late.
