Micro Climates

Funny thing about micro climates: my hydrangea, same as in this picture, has completely finished blooming, while Marjorie's, here, is still in its glory. And they're both on the same side of our respective houses. My tomatoes are so puny, my string beans are barely formed, yet someone else nearby has such different results. Is it just sunlight? Maybe my garden knows to give me some slack this year since this has been the summer of a broken wrist.
