DAY 12.....

......aaarrgghh getting lost in Bangkok!!! long story so here's a quick version......
*left hotel early to be back by 1:00
*got sky train to river to catch river taxi to the Grand Palace....on route met a very helpful local.. took us to local pier rather than the tourist pier to catch cheap taxi boat ended up on long tail boat trip for 500baht rather then 40!!!!

#it was actually a good trip which took us to the Wat Arun...(the golden temple from day 10)... climbed really steep steps to top for some amazing views ...then boat for canal tour through old town and by some floating market traders!

# then to the Grand Palace for a good tour...a very impressive place to visit...after a cool down coffee break we were told by a helpful tuktuk driver that the next temple was closed but he would happily take us on tour until it opened....I'm so gullible but The Rev wasn't

#....we walked to the OPEN temple of the Reclining Buddha.
Now 3:00 ...all hot and bothered and hungry (especially O who was also grumpy!!!!)
Got taxi to china town....not impressed....still tired and hungry....ate at very dodgy street trader for £5 for all 4 of us...Fingers crossed!!!

#braved tuktuk all 4 in a 3 seater......heat obviously affecting our senses!
Then got on river taxi wrong way up river for 30mins...got off....waited.....got last river taxi back....all getting tired and grumpy (O driving us mad moaning!!!)...sky train....walked wrong way back to hotel.....just not funny....got back at 8:00...O went to his room....The Rev, J and I went for a much needed massage!
