Trying to make ends meet

Need an extension piece to go between the sides of the sail cover round the mast. At first I thought I could make it up and just reverse it if I got the Velcro on the wrong way round, but after scribbling hook and loop on a piece of paper and trying every which way you cannot reverse it to get it right.
So a photo to make sure I get it right…..
