Yesterday's Tiny "What-is-it?"

Full marks to gen2, 60plus10, dollydoug and madwill for getting yesterday's Tiny "What-is-it" correct. It was one of the sharp pins on a strip of the carpet gripper which you can see here.

The renovation of our second bedroom is almost complete (on Monday last week you may have seen that I posted myself up a ladder doing some painting of the window frames). We wanted to get all the messy work done before having a new carpet fitted, and the fitters are coming tomorrow so we had a deadline. You can see that as it's an old house the skirting boards and floorboards have seen better days but that gives the house character. The carpet fitters wanted the narrow gap between the skirting and the floor filled with caulk so that's what I was doing yesterday when I pricked my finger (thanks for your concern - it's fine today).
