Singing workshop
A lazy start to the morning was followed by a singing workshop run by the organisers of the Americans festival. Although there were only 10 participants, we managed to learn Love the one you’re with by Crosby, Stills and Nash in three part harmony by the end of the hour long session. Great fun and as I was thanking the organisers, they asked if I was coming along in the evening. When I told them it was my turn to dog sit, they said to bring him along.
Mr PHL picked me up after the workshop and we nipped into Mallaig for a quick walk around and to pick up a couple of bits on the co-op.
Back to the campsite for a walk on the beach before making beef stroganoff for dinner. My turn to drive tonight and it was another night of good music. Phin was quite relaxed sitting at the back of the hall and loved all the attention he got from other audience members. Tonight’s musicians were Jeri Foreman & Ruth Eliza, a banjo and fiddle duo who were followed by the New Valley String band, 3 talented chaps from Sweden, with the final act Brook Williams, an American guitar playing singer who now lives in Oxford. Phin eventually curled up and slept under Mr PHL’s jacket.
A late finish.
