Shades

I went to Lucerne today taking the little regional train that trundles through the Emmental and took some pictures of this lakeside city on the shores of the Vierwaldstattersee. I have always liked Lucerne and always make a point of visiting when I am in Switzerland.

I came back to Bern in the early afternoon and purchased some tea from my favourite shop in the city (another ritual I have when I am here) walked down to the River Aare and came back through the old city where I snapped this blip. One of the cities' many fountains is obscuring the sun, with the dark silhouette of the Zytglogge looming behind. My photography skills don't do it any justice, but the light was good.
