Terrapins

Tuesday 
After an excellent breakfast, we caught a local bus to the city centre. We got off at Cibeles and walked from there to Sol, admiring the skyline on the way (extras). We then continued on to the plaza Mayor. It was very hot, so we had plenty of stops to rest in the shade. 
We had lunch overlooking the boating pond in the Parque de el Retiro. It had dulled over by the time we got back to the hotel, but we went to the pool anyway. 
Gambas a la plancha and patatas bravas for dinner at a local bar.
