Messy parenting

I was captivated by today's photo essay in The Guardian Parenthood is messy 
Photographer Kirsten Lewis's book Unsupervised presents a raw, honest look at how some families navigate the challenge and joys of raising children.


I thought I'd see if I could capture something similar and since the granddaughters' Dad was singlehanded and off sick from work the after-school flopping around offered a perfect opportunity. 

(Messy parenting does these two no harm at all.)
