Sandra
I had such a lovely day.....spent about 45 minutes beside the water and did some sketching....sunny and nice bit of breeze so the bugs weren't too bad!
Then onto Sandra's house! Sandra and I have known each other for a long time, she and her husband Peter would be at most of the craft shows i did. Peter was a wonderful artist, his jewellery is absolutely stunning....and Sandra would be his 'front' person. He was pretty shy! Peter died just over a year and a half ago, he was almost 92.....and Sandra misses him more than words can describe! Sandra was also the woman who got me into dragon boat racing about 10 years ago, what fun that was. And now, she has 2 of my abstract paintings in her home! It is the first time i've seen my paintings in their new home....so wonderful! We had a fabulous lunch made by Sandra - and Deb, who was also one of the dragon boat participants, and i were treated to a lovely lunch! We talked for over 2 hours, obviously a long over due get together. To sit out on Sandra's screened in porch, with delicious food and rich and heartfelt conversations was just great, something i don't do very much but have decided i will do more of in the future!
