Damp

The sun was back this morning. 

I had a lovely walk down the hill into town, with everything giving off that "soaked, but drying fast in the sunshine" vibe - especially the smells. 

My walk back up the hill at 5pm (or thereby) was great too. It was this part of town's turn for grass cutting in the publicly maintained areas, so I enjoyed that "newly cut, wet grass" smell. 

In between? It was fine. One of the more sane days. It makes me worry about tomorrow. 

My Blip is an area close to my house, showing the impact of 12+ hours of rain. Yes, I have reported it. And yes, that is why I took the photo. 

It is a bus route, plus school buses stop there to pick up their cargo, so something must be done! 

But will it? Maybe. Or maybe a contractor will send in an invoice for work which has not been done, knowing it is not likely to be checked.
