1,500 Anti-Trump ‘No kings’ protests planned in US

This morning I belatedly watched the recording of Rachel Maddow’s weekly Monday night (yesterday) cable news show on MSNBC. It isn’t easy to find a recording of it but you can try searching on the MSNBC website. I try not to miss her always astute analysis of what is going on in America. Today she had various reports of protests against the Trump government’s awful impact on life there, and in particular on the various immigrant communities who are in fear of being arrested for no reason and then deported without trial.

She has been showing how more and more people in local communities have been coming onto their streets in protest, and actually having success in freeing some of those wrongfully arrested. She interviewed a key member of 'Indivisible', a group who are trying to coordinate and focus activity to stand up to these problems, and face-off the government’s stooges who are carrying out the unlawful activities.

She then showed this map which I screen grabbed from my phone to be able to blip it.  As she spoke to camera a series of graphic frames were show which said one after the other ....

‘Statement from ’No kings’ June 14th protest organizers:

‘From major cities to small towns, we’ll rise together and say: 
We reject political violence.
We reject fear as governance. 
We reject the myth that only some deserve freedom.’

It has only just begun.but there is momentum and Trump and his cronies are acting scared as shown by their need to divert public attention from their many disastrous actions by pretending the small civil disobedience in Los Angeles 'needs' the army, the National Guard and the Marines. Pathetic leadership, if only these times weren’t so important.
