Snowdrop Anemone
Anemonoides sylvestris.
A certain degree of excitement on seeing this one since we didn't plant it and in eight years we have never seen it before. Up it popped in among the peony roses and the smaller plantation of poppies. It cannot be confused with the ordinary wood anemone. The woodies have all died back anyway but this guy is almost 30cm (12 inches) tall. I wonder if it will self seed and spread. Time will tell. Shot with the help of an old and now rarely used filter from the analogue days.
