New inhabitants

The abandoned and derelict hospital area a few kilometres from us finally got new inhabitants after over nine years, when four cows appeared on the lawn last week.

The premises were recently bought by the farm whose heifers I used to rear and they are renovating the old manor buildings. I think one of the buildings will soon have their farm shop in it and the cows are certainly a great advertisement for it.

I have no idea about the plans for the hospital buildings, but I think there's only one thing that can be done to them. Over the years there were a few prospective new owners for the area, but they always backed out, mostly because of the unknown cost for developing the area.

I did the last spraying for now in the morning and washed and serviced the plough in the afternoon.
