Underworld - Underneath the Radar

For whatever reason I wanted to listen to early Underworld today and dipped my toes into their first album. I think Glory! Glory! popped up on my YouTube feed, it was rereleased on YouTube three days ago.

It’s weird hearing Underneath the Radar as it sounds soooo 80s and not the Underworld that I fell in love with in 1996, (yup, Born Slippy got me bad in Trainspotting). I’ve seen the perform three times and it’s a trip. Their early work feels very INXS, even on their second album.

The third album, was so jaw droppingly out there, it’s hard to see that this is still technically the same group.
