Land-and-seascapes

Daniel Lohues

We (Annemarie, Joke, Peter and myself) had a great evening in the Stadsschouwburg in Groningen with Daniel Lohues.
Sitting front row we enjoyed all the songs and stories from this troubadour from Drenthe.

This man flawlessly explains the rise and fall of the dinosaurs, the Big Bang theory and a few moments later fragments of Bach’s Erbarme Dich can be recognized in a piano improvisation.

We laughed a lot but also had to swallow away thick throats when he started playing a song that was played at my mother’s funeral. That’s been exactly one year ago these days.

Earlier today, Peter and I went stormchasing in the huge rural polders nearby. There's one in the extra's of that adventure.
