Stuart Island

My nephew, who has a boat, offered to take us on an adventure to see and photograph lots of eagles.  The feeding frenzy occurs when the tide is running and the hake (a favourite fish food of eagles) are forced to the surface by the roiling waters.  What an adventure.  Main photo shows what the sea was doing under our boat!  I don't have a zoom lens, so my eagle photos are the gathering of the birds in the trees on shore waiting for the feast and a little later, in the sky, circling, fighting for position before diving down to claim a fish.
