Hare's Foot Inkcap
Hare's Foot Inkcap is one of the most delicate and short-lived of fungi. I spotted a dozen or more of the mature fruiting bodies on my early morning walk with the spaniel, came back with camera in the late afternoon and they had already dissolved but I was rewarded by seeing the newly emerged fungi which is the form that gives it the name Hare's Foot inkcap (coprinus lagopus) - typically found on wood chips or compost heaps.
