Fliuch

The rain this afternoon put paid to the gardening I'd planned. However I did spy this emerging apple on my way to the greenhouse to water the plants and seedlings I have there.

Earlier I was pleased to spy a goldfinch out the kitchen window and enjoyed watching it and two sparrows darting about for a few minutes.

Tonight saw the monthly talk put on by Fèis Rois. The speaker was Ciorstaidh Beaton , a harpist from Skye who won Musican of the Year at this year's Na Trads.  She spoke about her life which was interesting to hear and which prompted a range of interesting questions. This was all in Gaelic and I was pleased to be able to follow most of it. I am now listening to some her music in the background and about to read a project she is involved in with NASA.
