As the trees, in Jubilee Wood, grow bigger, the stakes are removed and are stacked in piles.

I've asked CRT staff if I may have some and have been given permission to have as many as I wish.

So Clive recently collected 20 and we started creating two "dead hedges" in the cutting.

I've decided creating dead hedges is easier than chipping but there will be lots of chipping required too.

Another day of feeling like I've achieved.

The Steam Fair is almost all gone already. Just rows of toilets, the frame of the stage and a couple of caravans remain. 

Deer in the garden today. And I disturbed one in the woods this morning.
