Festival Friday
A busy day and evening. Trouble with the Edinburgh Festivals is the multiple demands on your time & attention....so, I missed The Chair at the Queen's Hall - though I did catch them at HebCelt last month.
I did see fabulous If These Spasms Could Speak, with Mr Robert Softley on fine form - funny, touching, gorgeous, challenging & cheeky. Just enough time for some lovely Italian food & wine before heading to the Festival Theatre for Scottish Ballet. Although I thought the first half of the show, Sea of Troubles, was beautiful and the costumes lovely, I didn't really have a clue what it was all about (Hamlet inspired apparently). However, I did love the second half Silhouette - stunning outfits, the Corps de Ballet - I thought it was breathtaking, uplifting and fun. It pleased wee-me-in-a-tutu greatly.
And Edinburgh looked gorgeous too.
