Back to lavender
I’m home alone for much of the day as G is playing in a concert in Bangor with a rehearsal this afternoon. It’s Dream of Gerontius which he finds totally depressing so I have no encouragement to go along - and besides, I really need to prepare myself for tomorrow’s surgery.
In essence, my ‘preparation’ consists largely of finding the paperwork and reminding myself of what to expect, a bit of washing and ironing, finishing off contents pages and cover for my book (nothing to do with tomorrow I know) and finally, late in the evening, actually packing a bag.
There are phone calls and messages wishing me all the best, and a visit from Rob and Terry so I do have some company.
I listen to radio coverage of the men’s final which is incredibly exciting - so exciting that the coverage makes way for cricket…….though I find out later it does actually revert to the tennis! It’s such a pity that these things are not broadcast on terrestrial TV. I’m delighted that Alcaraz won, but I wish I could have watched this epic match.
Today’s blip is back to the garden lavender - but from a different angle!
