more popped poppies

Two days ago (Friday) there were only two blooms. Then we got hail on Friday night and I was concerned that the poppies would be damaged, but did not walk that way on Saturday. This afternoon we got more hail and when it stopped I walked the route they are on. And behold, now there are seven gorgeous blooms! I guess the tree they are growing against gives them good protection.
