Eccentric

Maybe I am a little!   I saw a vase like this and liked it so after an hour at pottery on the wheel, I rolled a piece of clay to take home.   Several hours later it had dried out enough to be used to build this fun piece.  It needs to be almost 'leather hard' for building something like this from slabs, I used a little of the wait time to create cardboard templates for the four pieces.  The handles came from the offcuts.   I can feel a jug and perhaps a teapot like it coming on :--)

Another quiet day mostly at home after a late start.  Dog walks and a little housework plus some time in the garden where I laid membrane and barrowed gravel in from a bag in the car park to cover it.   Long term some of the area will be the site for a raised bed but for now it will kill off the rough grass and weeds .... and look tidier too.

A long work day tomorrow so definitely an early night.  Oh, and the throwing at pottery went much better than the last time.  Two equally sized lumps of clay now two almost identical mugs waiting for handles :-)
