Northern marsh orchid

I like to check the local SSRI at Perwinnes Moss at this time, to see if the northern marsh orchids are still present.  There was a good showing today; this is one of the best specimens. There was lots of birdsong from hidden birds; Merlin identified chaffinch, goldfinch, treecreeper, blue tit, long-tailed tit, hoodie crow, carrion crow, chiff chaff, willow warbler, wren, great tit and  blackbird.
