Running for Grandy
The race dedicated to Mr P was such a success, this event is now in its third year and is becoming an established event.
We were all in our marshal positions for 9.30am.
I was stationed at an iron bridge that crosses the river and we had to oversee that the bridge was shut to traffic by 10.00.
It all went smoothly .
Best part for me was seeing Kitty ( in the middle) and her two friends from Northern Ballet run the race and finish the 10k in under an hour.
Mr P would have been so proud of her, l certainly was.
Then this evening l was taken out for dinner with Rebecca and family.
Ruby and her boyfriend had won the quiz at The Wheatley a couple of weeks ago and the prize was four roast dinners. So even though there were eight of us it reduced the bill considerably . Then my lovely son in law paid the rest.
A lovely end to a momentous day.
Thank you for the comments, stars and hearts yesterday, so appreciated x
