Knapweed

Took hound for an hour's walk this morning.  We're going to friends, Anne and Nathan for lunch which is usually a long event so wanted to tire Kyro out so he'd be more relaxed.  Encountered this flower which I believe is knapweed.  

There is a close nearby with a circle of grass which has been planted with wild grasses and wildflowers. There were also clumps of oxeye daisies.

Settled the hound to his lunch before cycling to A & N.  We had a very enjoyable meal, catch-up and conversations.   We returned home after nearly four hours.  The hound was very pleased to see us and was a bit clingy as a result.  But there wasn't any destruction or mishaps.  He's usually only left for two hours maximum.  So he's been very good today.
