Clean.

Today I engaged in some Spring cleaning even though it’s June and technically early winter in Tanzania. Winter here still provides enough sun and heat to be able to wash mouldy items and have them baked dry in a reasonable timeframe.

Later my friend Kelvin came around as I was passing on some items he asked for, which the Spring cleaning helped me organise. We drank pineapple juice and talked about travel. I asked whether he had ever been to Morogoro, a town a few hours away, which I said has a nice mountain backdrop. ‘White people like the natural environment’, he observed. We do like to go in for such things, he’s not wrong.

And I finished a recently acquired jigsaw in record time. Who doesn’t enjoy a good pirate scene.
