Red Hot!
I had high hopes of a good blip today. When I came home from volunteering at the Village Hall coffee morning there was a tortoiseshell butterfly on the buddleia. By the time I had got my camera out of its case the heavens had opened and the butterfly had taken shelter somewhere.
The dreich weather has meant that the house has got quite chilly, so we lit our first fire of the season. The log was shimmering beautifully, so what a pity this isn't a movie.
As we are going out this evening the house will be lovely and warm when we come home.
