morning light in the U Bahn. Teenager had a birthday, I remembered a friend who drove us to hospital the night he was born. She died a few years ago, but I always remember her at this time of year.  Getting older is a mix of conflicting emotions but it is a privilege to be able to get older and feel healthy.
