Leftfield - Song Of Life (Betoko Remix)

Good day at work. Did a bit of travelling and studying while on the train. During this time I had revisited Leftfield’s Leftism and man, it’s still a great album. The live album, Tourism, is totally banging, and recorded in Australia! I remember listening to it for the first time when I was 16 in Malaysia. The sounds changed me and little did I know of Dub, Reggae or Bulgarian at the time. Whatever it was for a kid was wonderful. The more I learn about the album, its influences and its sound, the better it gets. It’s an album that just keeps on giving.

I’m more of a fan of Rhythm and Stealth for the production and sound aesthetics but in terms of scope and cultural influence, Leftism still stands very tall.
