Sunflower planted by birds
Lovely to see this sunflower this morning... It is the largest one that has sprung up courtesy of the birds that visit our feeders. The others that are growing directly under the feeders and are probably 1/2 the size. The soil where they are growing is very sandy. The soil where this one popped up, next to the raised beds, is obviously better!
I am posting this morning as we don't know how the rest of our day will go. I got a call at 4 am from the Rehabilitation Center to let us know mom had tried to get up out of bed in the middle of the night and fell. Her wrist was swollen and distorted, we are assuming it is broken. My sister who is visiting said she would go there. Now she is at the ER and mom is getting X-rays. Unfortunately, this is the 3rd time in 30 days that mom has been admitted to the hospital.... not saying this for sympathy, although I do appreciate your kind thoughts and words, but rather to let you know instead of being absent with no explanation....
