Happy Birthday Mum!

Happy Birthday to my Mum! Here's to another year of two wheeled and two feet exploring...all with a flask, a crossword and a dash of our version of carpool karaoke! 

And  today that was kick started with a surprise pressie trip for Mum. I picked her up at 8:30, destination Marsden Beach...where we enjoyed a gorgeous coastline walk all the way past Souter Lighthouse and to Roker Lighthouse where we turned round to retrace our steps. All seven miles complete with just torrential rain for the last 5 minutes! Amazing to be basically dry. I legged it back to the car leaving Mum to shelter before returning. 

My plan for the afternoon, having seen the forecast, was The Metrocentre. We enjoyed a lovely look around the shops. 

Nail painting now awaits...it is a glittery baby pink shade aptly named Pink Sand. :-)
