Remembering!

Today I was asked to photograph a short remembrance service in Saintfield.  The Battle of Saintfield took place in 1798 in which the York Fencibles, a regiment raised in Yorkshire, who were ambushed near this spot by the United Irishmen.  You can just see one of the original headstones to the left in the image marking one of their graves.  Behind me from where the image was taken is a small memorial garden.  As you can see it was a wet afternoon.
