Soggy walk with friends.
Laughter and connection makes
a Happy Bunny :-)

Fun day today.  Ben was with his carers so we had time to drive out to meet friends for a wet walk around the River Goyt.  It wasn't ideal timing, weather or location.. Ben was being a bit tricky with the carers and I was a bit worried about my leg but I'm so glad I took the plunge and said I would go along (and my leg was fine).  It was a group from back in the day(!).. Mr KCNQ2Haiku and I met at university and shared a lot of* friends.  The group we met today was comprised of two of his old house mates and two of mine, although we've all long ago forgotten where the lines fall.  We were brave and took Leo with us, he's very skittish with new people and if we stop at cafes etc.. but it was such a perfect walk for him, that we thought we'd have to try and manage him and actually he was barely any trouble.  There was a black Labrador in our party who provided some interest for him and also a distraction (in that he was the one barking when we sat down!) We all managed a catch up and had a good giggle, there's nothing quite like people who have known you for such a long time, that sense of belonging fed by finding your feet together, living away from home for the first time.  Plus they've seen me do so many stupid things, that I have no further capacity for embarrassment in their company!!  I was very tired when I got home!  I declared Leo to be 'bath needy' and despite his disagreement we went with it.  There was also more washing than you'd think from a wet walk with two humans and a dog :-/ I made bolognese for older teen and some snacks for Ben's return and now we're in the bath time prep zone so I'd better go.  Mr KCNQ2Haiku is staying out to fly the KCNQ2Haiku social flag and I'm planning an early night!  Too much fun for one day :-)
