Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 353

As a year of chronicling this beach draws to a close I am surprised , once again, to stumble on a new activity! Here a class of stand up paddle surfers are being put through a safety briefing before sallying forth! There was also a beach volleyball tournament being set up with four courts on the recently tractor raked dry sand nearest the promenade. The usual Saturday joggers, boot campers, dookers and dog walkers were also out in force. Sadly the early morning dry clear weather was quickly deteriorating into squalls and heavy rain. The forecast for tomorrow is much more promising.
