Old fashioned

In anticipation of a forecast wet day I cut these sweet peas last night. It turned out wet on and off most of the day. So my blip today is a small bunch of 'old fashioned' sweet peas on our kitchen table. Dating back to the early 1900s, they  have smaller flowers, but much stronger scent, than the more widely grown Spencer sweet peas. This year I have two rows of Spencers and two rows of mixed 'old fashioned' varieties, about a hundred plants in total. The Spencers should be flowering next week.
