Viterbo

The port today was Marina di Carrara. I did not think this would be very interesting unless we were wanting to visit a marble quarry. So instead we took an excursion to Viterbo where we had a very interesting walking tour. I even still remember some of it.

The Papacy was based here for a period of time. The building in the background was the papal palace. Several popes were elected here. This is another mediaeval town, and very interesting from architectural point of view. I

A mistake I made today was to dress as I had every other day,  that is addressed for summer. Unfortunately the weather was decidedly cool, so I was quite cold during the walk around the town.

One of the extras shows a cruise ship, this is not the ship we were on, ours was much smaller than the one shown.
