Raindrops.......

Winter has returned after lovely spring weather during the last week.  The sky is light grey, a cold wind is blowing and rain is falling. Fires are lit round the neighbourhood and birds are bathing in puddles. My jug has boiled numerous times today for copious amounts of hot green tea and lemongrass and my slow cooker has been simmering with roast pork, kumera (sweet potato), parsnips and turnips flavoured with apple cider vinegar, chicken stock, cumin seeds and black pepper and most probably served with broccoli.

A quick dash outside to my little chrysanthemums, smothered in raindrops.

Warm thanks to everyone for you thoughtful words yesterday, I believe the earth has settled a little for Wellington and the top of the South Island, lets hope it stays that way. Also thank you for sending yesterdays cathedral shot to the spotlight page, it was a different perspective from other shots I have seen.

Hope your all enjoying a great weekend :)
