Storm In A Teacup

This tiny icecream parlour/coffee shop is well named as it takes the brunt of every easterly storm sits on Skerries Pier in North County Dublin...an oasis for me and my friends... summer and winter... I like winter best when we can sit outside (there is no room inside!!!) well wrapped up (because there is no bad weather...only wrong clothes) sipping coffee and watching....always watching... Good people run it... When the lifeboat house alarm goes off twenty yards away all thought of an early day evaporates....They are there for the long haul....supplying coffee to the tired, the determined, the distraught...and no money changes hands....but we know....and we go there for our coffees whenever we can...in thanks....
