Gawthorpe Hall
I don't usually blip photos of buildings, as I'd much rather take nature photos, so today is a bit of an exception! Partly because the birds on our friends bird-feeder wouldn't keep still enough!
We visited Gawthorpe Hall near Burnley today. It is interesting in that most of the exhibits are to do with the textiles collected by Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth. Some very fine needlework of all sorts including lacework made a great day for Mrs TPV and some of the female friends we were with. The rest of us enjoyed it and then waited outside with this view of the house in front of us for them to exit!
This evening though was spent having a meal at a rather superb Italian Restaurant in Chorley. The food was superb so a good time was had by all.
We are all made different, with a variety of preferences and things that interest some and are less interesting to others. I think the great variety in our tastes and the things that we enjoy just points to the vastness of our great God. We are made in his image, and he made us all so different - he must be great beyond all understanding. Even so he is interested in each one of us! Hallelujah.
