It ended with my daughter coming for dinner, and bringing the dinner with her. How lovely is that!

It’s been raining, snowing on the tops, and am I glad that I got the rotary compost maker emptied and that compost spread, plus another bag of mushroom compost I’d bought. I wouldn’t want to be doing that in today’s weather.

I had a visit from two lovely people that I met on the Fiordland Discovery’s trip down to the Southern fiords last August. The woman who was on the boat, Fiordland Jewel, with me was here too and we all met in the Lodge. Lots of chatter. Cathy had a bad fall off her bike late last year, was concussed and is still struggling with the aftermath. She’s only just able to drive her car again but hasn’t returned to work. It may be a long haul for her.
