Before the Concert Starts

The spring concert by the Härnösand Percussion Ensemble was, as usual, excellent. There was even more variety than usual and the whole performance with choir, percussion, soloists, and musical drama was so good.
It's always wonderful to see these young people from school and community college show what they can do!
It was a little unusual, being in the cathedral, rather than the theatre. I know their leader likes to try different venues now and again. The sound was wonderful in the cathedral, the cathedral organist added a dimension to a couple of numbers, but the visuals work better in the theatre.
I sat up rather late at the end of the day, because it's Jan's birthday tomorrow and there were a few things I had to do....
