Metamorphosis

A day of natural delights… thank goodness there are such delights as life can certainly throw you up in the air, without a safety net!
Song thrush , bullfinch, nuthatch, a young family of blue tuts amongst the regular visitors.
A dragonfly landed on a piece of driftwood as I sat in the garden facing g a coffee,
Then finding this pupa.. when I picked it up it was still moving, the tail end twisting around on my warm hand.
It’s now in a safe place.
Spotting such wildlife in my garden, is such a gift.
It’s Lydia’s birthday today .. how can I have a 45 year old!!.. I’m only 46!!!.. she has quite a lot going on at the moment so a much needed chat with mum was needed.
It’s been a very strange day.. I’ve felt quite disconnected and disassociated..
Decided to do something practical to focus on, so painted the side two gates of the house.
They will need another coat.. another day
