Malden Manor

Dan rang yesterday morning to say that he was coming home to pick up his guitar and amp for an event in Loughborough, today, and would we be able to give him a lift to the station.

This seemed logistically improbably - Lancaster to Loughborough on a Sunday - and it was a lot of travelling for the little fella.

As it happened, we were driving down to London, today, so I suggested we take a detour to Loughborough to drop his stuff off on the way. That would add forty-five minutes to our journey, but save him hours.

Thus we set off around half-past nine, this morning, to meet Dan in a pretty little town called Woodhouse Eaves at one o'clock, before we carried on down to Worcester Park.

We arrived just after four, and the Minx came in to say hi to Mum before continuing on to Chiswick, where the miniMinx lives. For myself, I went out for a run - taking today's photo on my way back past Malden Manor station - and then went out for dinner at Pizza Express with Mum. Her treat, paid for by her fees from giving a sermon, this morning :-)

And after seeing her home, I popped back down to The Plough, where I met up with my brother, Wol, and our pals Bill and Danny. It was an interesting, rambling conversation, which oscillated around reminiscences from our time at Tiffin Boys, bouncing out to all sorts of different topics.
